Description of Incident
Rosemary Wickstead, 45, is thought to have jumped in to the water when the boy began to struggle off a beach on the Isle of Harris.

She was enjoying a break with her GP husband David and their three sons, all of Herne Hill, south-east London.

Coastguards flew her to ­hospital by helicopter but she was pronounced dead on arrival.

Her husband and two of the couple’s sons were also taken to hospital but released without treatment after a few hours.
