Description of Incident
41-year old Male, Paul Morris was walking his dog along Blackpool pier when gale-force winds swept him into Blackpool Sea.

Several attempts were made to save him by passers-by, a football and a life ring were both thrown to the man.

Two helicopters, lifeboat crews and the RAF searched for three hours but the severe weather conditions made it very difficult.
