Description of Incident
16 Year Old male lost his life while swimming in the sea near Shell Island. He had swam in the same spot for 3 days prior to this day but unknown to him was an undercurrent/ riptide which overwhelmed him. He was airlifted by RAF Search and Rescue but sadly lost his life 29/07/13.

News report - Crews were also called to Shell Island shortly after 1.30pm after reports a teenager was too long in the sea. He had to have CPR resuscitation performed on him before being flown to hospital for further treatment.
