Description of Incident
Man and teenager found dead.

Officers say the two deaths at Bawsey Pits, near King’s Lynn are unrelated and their bodies were recovered from separate lakes last night.

In both cases the victims got in to difficulties in water and major search operations were launched.

The man was discovered at 7.24pm and the boy in his mid teens was found later at 9.25pm.

Those involved in the search operation included Norfolk Fire and Rescue’s urban search and rescue, SwiftResponse and dive teams, the volunteer Lowland Search and Rescue and an RAF Sea King helicopter plus specially trained dogs.
