- David Roulston,46, drowned as he went for a swim after stopping off at Downhill beach near Coleraine, Northern Ireland. He and his family had just been on a holiday where they stopped off at Downhill beach for a swim. He went into the sea with a daughter before weather conditions changed for the worse. A helicopter brought into help with the search was unable to lift him from the water due to the rough conditions but finally a lifeboat was able to bring him back to shore, unfortunately, attempts to revive him failed.
